Got the car back on the road yesterday. A huge thank you to Arwyn Williams who connected me with the shifter I needed as the original one came loose in my hand. Very different feel that will take a little getting used to, but it feels so much more solid than the old one.
BTW, post from UK to US took just under 3 weeks.

Of course, we get back home from our trip out to find that the water pump is leaking, and a noise from the left front on hard right turn leaves me to believe I may have a wheel bearing issue.
