I sent an email enquiring with Librands if The SSL set up Peter has, is suitable for the Series 5 Aero due to the addition of the a.r.b which the previous Aero chassis does not have. Certainly Peter’s experience regarding handling and ride improvements has sparked my interest in making the change. Will watch this thread with interest and include any feedback I receive from my enquiry.
Librands and SSL are working on a kit for the S5 chassis cars. Will, "The Customer" is lead guinea pig..
As well as new coil over units it requires a new rear ARB and some of SSL's 'Magic Drop-links" at the front between the stock RM and the lower wishbones.
Fitting adjustable dampers isn't enough. It needs new springs and altering the ARB stiffness is key. The magic link does that, contact peter Ballard at SSL for more information.
