Bonesie .... now look what you've done! .... have ordered a printer and some filament (my mate jumped at the chance ) .... makes sense to have it as a joint effort as, once the novelty wears off, it probably won't get enough use out of either one of us alone.
Will no doubt try it out with some ready made files but we both want to be able to make custom bits eventually. My mate is the flute maker who turned up the lovely gearknob for the Morgan .... he eventually wants to print fancy ferrules and bands for flutes and then send them away as samples to be cast in silver. I'm not quite so focussed but there will be plenty of plastic widgets I can turn my hand to. ..... now to see if we can make it turn out anything of our own design that doesn't look like a cowpat!
