same issue here: I had a cracked windscreen on my 4/4 Sport (delivery Dec 2009). It appeared one morning a after sitting in the garage overnight (Feb 2010).
The windscreen cracked in the top left hand corner because of the frame being too tight.
Issue got immediately acknowleged by Malvern factory and whole screen and frame replaced under guarantee within 4 weeks by the Swiss dealer. I did not pay a single buck.
Sorry to hear that handling through dealership/factory of such an issue is so inconsistent.
