On the new Plus Four cars they could offer a new option. The Trad owners fettle & bodge kit.
It would consist of a set of fake grease nipples, some wrongly handed roof fittings, a set of loose nuts and bolts that do not match that you could lay on the ground under the car in the garage and some light oil to coat your fingers with from time to time. As a further option you could have a downloadable (by cassette or CD) sound track of squeaks and rattles for the authentic making progress sound track. For the hardened Trad lovers you could fit a bouncy cushion under the seat to emulate the front suspension prior to fitment of the suplex?
(okay off to hide now, done my bit for world peace for the day)
Another classic Alistair. Another option would be to lend your new plus 4 to my daughter for a few months. There would be plenty of fettling and cleaning required on its return.
