Had the same problem on an MG Midget I bought. It was set up to autocross and had electronic Ign and a weber carb and ran great until one day....in Florida. We put it on a rollback and transported it to an MG tuner in St Petersburg. He ripped out the electronics and put back the points and I drove back to the campground. Did I mention we towed the MG behind the motor home?
