I once tried to get on one of those initiatives for solar panels, but was told my roof did not have sufficient surface area, and my loft space was too small. I've looked at the ground source, but they reckon they need a space 5 times the ground plan of the house. I'd have to use all my garden and that of neighbours

Just like with EV charging, politicians making decisions need to think about the implications for the 'average' householder, and not assume we all have offroad parking, large houses and big gardens!
