Our contractor moved a lamp post and dropped the kerb when we had the extension done twenty years ago. The council haven't noticed yet!


The whole area was dug up previously to move a lamp post (it was originally about four foot across my driveway, and they moved it to the dividing boundary between me and next door).

Spoke to the workers at the time, to see if they could rebuild it with a dropped kerb. 'Sorry mate, haven't got the authority'. Rang the council and after 15 'Sorry mate, not my department' got told they don't do 'private work'.
