Talk Morgan Forums Morgan Sports Cars Classic Morgans (pre-CX) Optimax Chip insertion

I have read a number of past threads on the benefits of the Optimax Chip and am about to go ahead.
I note that the ECU has to be opened and the chip inserted. I have a 96, Plus 8 and the ECU looks to be bolted to the kerbside of the passenger footwell.
Are there any worries about unbolting the unit from the car and opening the ECU.
