This morning I decided to take the advice of some on the board and start the baffle removal in stages. I took the pipes off and drilled out the front solid plate. It is an easy process after I built a tool that would connect to my hole saw. Once that was built, I knew I needed a little lubricant on the plate so I just drizzled some down the pipe. I read somewhere that you should not have your drill bit in the center of the hole saw. So I decided to try that. After 5 minutes of struggling, I installed the drill bit and it went right through the plug. So I do both sides, reinstall and start the car. I can't tell a big increase in sound so I am happy..I take off to drive up to the house and look in the mirror and it looks like I am fogging for mosquitos. All that oil I used to help drill the hole was burning off. It took about 15 minutes for it to burn off the oil out of the pipe. Fixing to take it for a spin to see if it feels like it is breathing better. Those pipes are easy to remove so if I don't think it helped, I will take them off and go after the cats.
