I do have louvers. A lot of air does come up around the transmission. And the bonnet is aluminum which is a great conductor as well.
The fan turns off ~199-200. The oil slowly creeps up to ~209 and then it kicks back on and the temp slowly drops. I could put a lower temp fan switch, but that is the temps most car radiators operate within
