The garage due to change my two front tyres who I know are familiar with wire wheels have told me they can no longer oblige due to new equipment.
Visited Kwik Fit and the guy on reception had never heard of wire wheels - I had to show him my car! They said they might be able to change them if I knocked them off but they were unsure on balancing so I am not confident.
Apart from making sure I can get them off with the Thor before I book somewhere(they wont have been off the car for two or three years) - is there any other tips on having to use a tyre fitter who is not familiar with wires?
You know it makes sense!
