Only whilst I open the garage door. My cars are under cover so I dont often need to let them idle to defrost. Many are stolen off the drive whilst left running unattended defrosting, your insurers are not likely to be sympathetic. I once started my old Range Rover to defrost whilst I scraped the windows, then I could not open the drivers door. My spare key would not open the passenger door, I got in through the rear window, I drove 20 miles before the drivers door would open.
