I went to the Factory parts department in 1995 when they were allowed to serve 'passing trade'. I needed a replacement 4/4 cowl badge. I was told that they were flat and asked if I wanted it bent to shape. Someone nipped out the back with it and returned a few minutes later. "We have a special piece of wood for that" I was informed. When I got it home it was a perfect fit! So the badge will take a degree of bending and I assume unbending with out problems.
