The chapel is (almost) an architectural masterpiece commemorating a visit of the Polish Pope J.P.II. to Austria in the 1980s.
The chapel is located in the vineyards between Jedenspeigen and Sierndorf with a view in the direction of the border river March, which at that time was the end of the western world on the border to the communist east. The location is not Burgenland but Lower Austria while the area looks very much the same.
