Many thanks Frank. That's a superb solution - and a very neat finish. Presumably you weren't concerned that the loss of a cold, slightly "ram" effect air source from the front cowl/grille area would affect output? Must say that I'm concerned that flattening the trunking to the extent that I'd have to to get it over the top of the rad might restrict airflow sufficiently to negate any advantage - with the added hazard that the flattened mouth might get sucked closed

(as CooperMan says - that tube is pretty squishable - especially at the end).
Might just investigate the "flattened funnel-shaped" duct shown on the Revotec site. If it were slim enough to fit in the gap, that might do the trick.
