Yes your quote is about the rate. Mine went under warranty in similar circumstances to yours and I was advised by my (good)agent to claim on Insurance which meant it cost me £50 excess and a 3 Month wait for the ex factory unit. I could have had an unheated one fitted locally for £140 which I will do next time and take a flyer on the MOT as I believe that with no Heater vents up to demist the screen it would not pass. In the event it didn't I shall fabricate some.
