This thread reads like some of the Threads on the Tesla Motors Club forum.
The CX cars are new and in the world outside Malvern Morgan is a tiny, tiny part of the car manufacturing industry. They are embarking on, for Morgan, a massive adventure into the unknown and so far I'd say they are making a really rather good job of it. Tesla are a lot larger, but in absolute terms, also a minnow in a world of sharks. What neither Tesla nor Morgan has is an army of media management specialists and years of marketing experience. The big brands spend millions manipulating brand image, just look at Mercedes AMG, their spend is massive and includes running a rather successful F1 team. Never forget that all this is paid for, indirectly, by the customers.
I prefer the adventure option, even if it means the cars may not be as perfect as customers believe the big brands are. If my Plus 8 died and I got an insurance pay out I'd order a new CX Plus 4 in a heartbeat. It would probably need some attention, but my factory owned and pampered Plus 8 wasn't totally fault free, though MMC sorted it all. Now at 44,600 miles it runs and drives like a well oiled machine.
