The biggest benefit is the loss of the hair trigger sensitivity. If only MMC had made it like this in the first place the GDI would have had a much enhanced reputation, all for the sake of saving a few quid.
Next time you go out, give it some beans and it will fly.

Yes, much less sensitive and easier to take off more modestly if that is appropriate - such as with delicate passengers. I'm hoping it will be better for my better half to drive as well - the over sensitive throttle was going to take some explaining to her, I suspect!
