That is a '72 , mine a '89.

Now if those more recent springs only differ due 5 ? mm offset of the locating pin , i think it is possible to mount them ( one ) wrong ?

PS i also checked the rear spring shackles , no play and both at the same angle ( no length difference )



Possibly - the top springs are a generic 4 leafs that fit 1969 up to (not including) the CX version. However I remember when I fitted them it was very obvious which way they went - there was a significant difference in the distance between pin and eye either side.
