Took them out again and smacked the sh1t out of them with a larger hammer. A vast improvement - nearly all the movement gone. Had to raise the door latches by a few mm so they'd shut (they'd obviously dropped a fair bit).
A wise Jedi taught me the same technique, his advice to me was “use the force, Ewan , use the force”.
