Yep, thought of that too, as a neater version of a wrap of duct tape - which would get worn off with a combination of friction and the poking effect of that little dimply détente. Once the lengths of tubing arrive here, I'll experiment and report back. It's one of those things that seems trivial, but is just an annoyance.
