Some graffiti I have seen is quite well executed however tagging is a blight and the line between them is the viewers perspective. A local home owner in our area recently painted their own fence during the lockdown to try and give people a laugh. They put the Snoopy Dancing picture on the front panel. I thought it was really well done and was a nice touch to help people. The number of compliants on the local forum was shocking. Everyone said it had been "tagged by evil youfs" when it was the home owner, go figure where the problem is there?

I have used rattle cans for quite a few projects outside of actual car painting and they are handy. If we deleted them the plebs would only use some of the pump up cans you can get which would do that same job. Before we take them out of society I would prefer we dealt with knives, knuckle dusters and other more damaging things like the Sun newspaper.
I would imagine the energy spent on tackling this would be out of proportion to the value to society when so many other problems are facing the police force, unless we want to raise out taxes again? I doubt the police want to deal with it. However if it was my property being defaced I may have another view. I know the Transport police keep a database of this stuff and look to address it. Perhaps they should consider using those integrated hunting webcam boxes and let technology help them?
