To a degree I can understand the problem. When a company has hundreds of products out there that are perfectly OK it is difficult to understand why some should not be OK when they appear to be identical to all the others.
If I understand correctly from all the posts on this topic it seems to be a small percentage of the Sport versions fitted with the 9 stud hoods that is affected. I don't know how many Sports get built a year but I guess it is in the hundreds. Clearly not all are affected, just an unlucky few.

We actually have +4, +4SS, and 4/4 Sports with the same problem with the screens cracking, the numbers MMC and the sum of all the Agents only would know.
As I replied yesterday to one of our new members who has 300mls on his +4SS when his cracked, in a non impact related way.
MMC have a problem with these windscreens and "the truth will out" eventually, my suspicion is that the heated screens are not as structually/molecularly sound as the standard laminated screens were. Could even be a change of screen manufacturer ?
My +8 which I enjoyed for 4yrs had the same windscreen after the 33,000mls of enthusiastic driving.
SFO, TRENT, GAMBALUNGA - Today I had a job to do in Blandford Dorset which leant itself to taking the 4/4 Sport instead of the tintop. This is a lovely run mostly along the A35 including the Jurassic coastline etc, a nice 220ml return trip.
On the journey home "guess what" a crack starts in the top LHD corner of the windscreen and this was an ex MMC factory and Agent fitted 1st week August approx 500mls ago. This was the advised (by Agent)to claim on Insurance screen.
Now the vehicle is out of Warranty period (1st screen cracked at 20 months) and I imagine the insurance company will be overjoyed if I claim another screen within a 3 month period.
Anyone any constructive new thoughts
on this one other than paying the £972-07 myself or get Aero screens. Neither appeal to me
It didn't spoil the day because any Morgan drive is a joy
, but the £140-00 laminated non-heated locally sourced screen is gathering momentum I feel.
