they know to turn up with a flatbed truck as you need to disconnect the propshaft to tow one or risk wrecking a gearbox.

I haven't heard of that before, except perhaps for auto transmissions.

Good enough for me.

I think this applies to most modern gearboxes with RWD. I can't honestly remember if the same Cautionary note was in my 4/4 Sport or not now.

I was aware of the Auto transmissions also as I had a Borg Warner 3 speed in my Scimitar GTE, but never needed recovering but had a similar warning in the handbook.
