I did a lot of studying on my old 4/4 system when I was tuning the 1800 Zetec and subsequently swapping to the 2 litre Zetec and I came to the conclusion that the Librands Manifold wasn't too bad. Not optimum but tolerable.

Anyway, prompted but your comment, I have been looking at the Roadster manifold.

It's dreadful. The centre primary is only about 6 or 7 inches long and all 3 primaries are different, the longest being about 10 inches.

The collector doesn't look too clever either.

Now I'm not an exhaust manifold specialist by any means but I'd wager a fair bet that there is a lot of extra horsepower to be had "simply" by extending the primaries.

Packaging looks difficult though which is maybe why Librands haven't done one. Hey Ho frown


It’s not difficult , but is costly
A properly designed and fabricated set of manifolds for the Roadster would be £3.5-4K

And they do make a lot more power….
