Thanks Neil, that's helpful/encouraging (and within my capabilities).This only manifested itself once the ambient temperature had dropped. Mindful of your suggestion, I thought this should be on my radar. Although the work-in-progress Sifab website doesn't seem to quote prices, an older Mulfab pricelist shows upwards of £600 + VAT for a new one. So a potentially big saving for the sake of carefully tightening a hose clip !
