So, from the above images, there is already a square rod protruding out of the correct side, but stops 1-2mm short of the door skin. This square rod goes into the lock and connects to the handle on the inside. Other than glueing anotjer square rod to the existing one, giving it extra length to enter the external handle, what options are available. Thanks
