Hi Mitchell76, it's good to read of your experience as a first time Morganist. I totally understand your apprehension, after all a Mog is not your average mass produced tin box, and yes they are idiosyncratic. But having owned and loved 2 of them 40 years ago, and being now in a position to have another, I just can't wait to get my hands on it. A recent visit to the factory taught me 2 things: 1. Not much has changed since I was last there as a guest of Peter Morgan; and 2. the one thing that has conspicuously changed is the quality of what is being produced there now. It is improved beyond all recognition. So many of the old cars' weaknesses have been addressed that I know for sure and certain that my new Plus Four Super Sports 60th Anniversary will be not only a whole lot quicker and better to drive than my 1969 Plus 8 ever was, but it will be a whole lot more reliable and more durable too. Honestly, a modern 'classic' Morgan is a very, very much higher quality offering than its forebears.
