Must admit I don't like to see iconic brand names sold off pretty much in isolation to be stuck on cars and motorcycles that have no connection to their history .... even more pathetic is the companies who did no more than buy the badge, claiming the hundred year engineering heritage that didn't come with it as somehow their own.

I guess while while the Indian company was still producing Royal Enfields from the same tooling and design it made some sort of sense to keep the name .... but in most cases it seems that the administrators and asset strippers who control the dying days of famous companies just see the badge and history as another way to turn a bob or two out of the corpse .... even if the subsequent use in duping the uninformed that they're buying something they're not verges on fraud.
