Wouldn't hurt to sling a 16oz can of Sea Foam in to a full tank of fuel - a great piece of American liquid engineering which helps to clean and lubricate all parts of the fuel system and top end of the engine. I use this regularly in old motorcycles with carbs and it does a wonderful job. For those interested it can be used carbs, fuel injection, petrol and diesel. You can also get an aerosol version which you spray directly in to the air inlet of the carb/injection system for intensive cleaning whilst the engine is running (don't worry about the clouds of white smoke from the exhaust - this is normal and will clear) and you'll be amazed as the quieter and smoother running of the engine afterwards. The can of Sea Foam in the fuel tank every few thousand miles is as an ongoing maintenance treatment. Brilliant stuff and like everything else is available on Amazon.
