I think you may have missed a trick or two John in terms of evaluation relative to everyone having their own set of priorities..?
When I bought my Morgan I did not intend for it to spend as much time in the garage as it has done over the years, just that life and it`s ever changing priorities determined otherwise, though that does not take away from my all important emotional involvement with it given the memories related to numerous adventures enjoyed in it over the years, and fellowship enjoyed with others both in the real and cyber world.
To add to the above, in my eyes, Morgans are works of automotive art and ownership of my +8 can provide a sense of well being each time I walk into my garage for any purpose, or when I run a duster over it, or better still when I take it for an occasional run.
My guess is that there are many possible areas of emotional involvement with one`s Morgan, even if one is not fortunate enough to be able to enjoy track days or epic drives, both of which I have been fortunate enough to experience over the years..(-: There are also likely to be those who rarely if ever drive their Morgans and never ever planned to do so, perhaps their Morgan bought as a rebuild project or just to take to the occasional car meeting and existing much of it`s time as a garage queen...?
I had a friend who suffered ill health and equipped his garage with comforts such that he could spend time in his garage just enjoying his cars.
Again as you typed John and I fully agree with , each to their own.
