Take your pic John07, there are plenty of interesting machines out there to suit all types of enthusiasts, I have been fortunate to sample a few myself, the sixties Elan was the first car I really lusted after.. Which kinda takes us back to the subject of emotional involvement betwixt man and machine and that some of us for a variety of different reasons can become more emotionally involved with our machines than others who can replace them with the next new thing matters not a jot, whatever floats one`s boat works well enough for me.
Currently feeling rather spoiled to have two metal mistresses sitting in my garage, both of which I have a variety of emotional ties to... Though it did take numerous decades to arrive at such a fortunate situation, how long that might last...who knows.. But I intend to enjoy it while I can.
As the other John typed in this thread, life can be thought to be too short on occasion..
