I have often fitted aftermarket pipes to bikes over the years but this has been for the benefit of aural gain - by the sounds of it, there are real mechanical benefits for adding stage 1 pipes to the M3W so I'll go ahead and get a set. Is home fitment straight forward?
Yes, it's a straight-forward DIY job. Soaking the joints & clamps between the main exhausts and headers with penetrating oil for 24hrs before you attempt to separate them makes life easier.
