Yep, very true. I feel sorry for the dealers who are now sitting on fully spaced Plus 4’s at 90k and 6’s at 110k, they all have the very pricy audio system etc which I expect is in a bid to get new car orders for it if the demo has it.

I personally think they have going above what the market will bear in terms of pricing, add to the fact that most existing owners who would of traded up to a CX will have done so by now so running out of upgrade orders apart from
The very wealthy, let’s hope there is enough of them.

It very much changes the demographic of new Morgan owner.

When I was about 7 or 8 my parents took me to the Morgan factory for a tour, this would be about 1994, as they waiting list was 8 years they thought about outing my name down for a new Morgan as one could save up and I would get it when I was 17, this was when Morgan’s where affordable sports cars.

I bought a tatty sh Morgan when I was 21 and had one ever since. I now have 18 month twin boys with their own Morgan pedal cars but unless we win the lottery when they go a factory tour they are old enough I sadly don’t think it will be an option to put their names on the waiting list for a new one…

Times have very much changed but at least there are plenty of classic Morgan’s around to keep the dream alive for the next generation
