Other way round - I have 4 leaf rears, rather than the original rock solid 7 leaf.

No issues with tyres catching front or back - I have 195 fronts and 205 rears, although probably change to 195 all round when I need new tyres. Managed to fit a 195 spare in the spare wheel well, so makes sense to have everything the same.

Was worried that steering would be more difficult at the front but bizarrely I find it better than the previous 165 Contis. However they were 10yrs old, so I imagine they were quite rigid and lacked any flexibiliy. I actually found the steering better running the old tyres at 28psi, whereas I'm back down to 22psi with the fat Avons.

I fitted the tyres at the same time as the new rear leafs and the panhard rod, so handling improved dramatically, but more likely due to the mods rather than the tyres.
