I am not familiar with the particular tank but looking at the position of that take -off I would expect it to simply connect to an overflow pipe exiting to the atmosphere.
This tank has a conventional pressure cap unlike the original which I would suspect is a modern plastic system with a tiny hole in the plastic cap for venting.
With the conventional spring loaded cap, there is no breather hole in the cap itself, as the sealing washer simply lifts under pressure to a point where it exposes that take off pipe for venting.
Think I would take advice as to what pressure cap is applicable. (unless of course this tank is specified for your particular model)
Think the plastic caps let go at about 21psi.
