I am not familiar with the particular tank but looking at the position of that take -off I would expect it to simply connect to an overflow pipe exiting to the atmosphere. This tank has a conventional pressure cap unlike the original which I would suspect is a modern plastic sealed system. Think I would take advice as to what pressure cap is applicable. (unless of course this tank is specified for your particular model)
