I have had 2 Morgans (Plus 4 & Plus Four) and 3 Boxsters, 2 Caymans and several 911s. Also 4 Ferraris. One just cannot compare a modern Plus Four with a Boxster; or indeed with any other car. The Boxster is far more civilised, more luggage, a near perfect convertible hood, whereas the Morgan hood is rubbish; 19 minutes & 2 fingernails each time. BUT, I prefer the Morgan to the Boxster even though it is more expensive. I put up with the terrible hood as a redesign would not be possible without changing the car completely. Then it would not be a Morgan. The Morgan is far more special than a Boxster and, apart from the hood, is more fun, more style, more me
You should see the hood in the Aero S5.
huh?
Yes, the S5 hood is a kit of parts - and once you figure out how to assemble them, it takes about the time to assemble that it takes your co-driver to fetch a parking ticket.
A couple of minutes.
Less time of course if you've both got the knack of it.
The upside to the assembly process is that 1) it's watertight (no, really really actually watertight!) and 2) it packs away flat, and there's still room left in the slot behind the seats for plenty more luggage.
