It is a CX Morgan: such problems should NOT be happening to a car at that price.

Yes and no. MMC have zero control on quality care on parts brought in. There isn't a car on this planet be it the cheapest or most expensive where a part will fail. Happens on cars, homes, phones etc.
My previous 718 Spyder had a fault not two days after collection. Was it a disappointment? Of course, but fixed quite quickly and I was on my way.
To the OP, it's a sensor. Easy fix IMHO. They do at times get dirty and throw a fault.
