We've all been used to rock solid used values for Morgans over the years.
Low demand, high prices, an unstable financial climate and, maybe, a lack of 'people of a certain age' to buy them have all possibly lead to the current market.
A Morgan has historically been seen as a safe place to put your (pension) money, there has often been talk on TM about the investment potential of Morgans. They've been almost depreciation proof for so many years.
I guess we (Morgan owners) are just experiencing the sort of depreciation that the owners of normal cars as well as other sports cars have had to endure.
I suppose what it's saying is get out and drive your car, get it wet and dirty, go places in it, do things in it, because if you're going to lose a few quid on it you might as well really enjoy the period that you owned it and get your money's worth...!!!
The speedster was an incredible buy for someone.
A well known 'legacy dealer' told me that Morgans with big engines weren't selling at all, but looking at all the cars for sale on the MMC web site you could add in pretty well everything else...!
My car is being auctioned by Bonhams at the moment so I'm hoping that bidding will go berserk.......😁 There's quite a few watchers and I've had several people message me wanting more information so who knows, it's not a hardship to keep it if it doesn't sell. I've been realistic with the reserve, which is all you can do, after that it's in the lap of the gods.🤷🏻♂️
