Well at least solid state batteries are less likely to suffer from thermal runaway which causes this issue in trad Lithium ones. The solid electrolyte is non-flammable, can withstand higher temperatures without de-stabilising and is less likely to suffer short circuits. They can also store and deliver higher currents and have a longer life. The manufacturing process is more intense though leading to higher costs.
Toyota appear to be current leaders in this technology but still a wait until 2027 before their forecast release.
