It's all about making the right choice, and chosing a car for a purpose. That's how I do it. For the past 20 years, a diesel golf for distance travel. No regrets. 600 mile range. Perfect for off season trips to Scotland. For local trips the Polo is much more fun. Had a Polo from about 2006. No regrets.
The Morgans are for leisure tinkering, and memorable journeys, mostly over 40 miles, often a couple of hundred. Just find something you enjoy sitting in, enjoy looking at enjoy driving, and has tinkering potential.
So many people we know chose badly, regret and constantly chase "perfection". There's no such car.
