Nothing lasts forever, including interests, hobbies, pastimes or whatever they happen to be called. The important thing is to enjoy the activity and therefore derive some pleasure from it.
Cars, or bikes for that matter, offer a load of alternative options apart from grovelling underneath or driving over potholes. How about track days, auto solos or sprints? Or driver training courses to learn new skills? Or volunteer driving eg taking Aunty Nellie, who’s never been in a Morgan, for a spin?
Among the Morgan’s USPs is the ability of these cars to be ‘all things to all people’ and turn heads to boot. The young kid on the pavement, clearly in awe of the Mog, who is going to tell all his mates he’s just seen a Morgan. The ‘thumbs up’ from other road users as you pass.
