Sorry can't be of much help but I believe the body control unit is a Volvo item and should have a part number on it. Your existing one probably just doesn't 'talk' to the main ECU, hopefully your dealer can sort otherwise your contact at MMC is Ian Weaver, their electrical guru, and is literally a 2 minute job with his laptop.
