I had replaced the original aluminum sprocket with the Super Max which has a line of small bolts down the middle of the teeth all around. Some worked out and shredded the middle of the belt teeth. That happened over 20,000 miles ago. The belt still works. According to quite a few of the bikers I've talked with the belt should last up to 100,000 miles. They are damn strong. The other belt on the motor that drives the cams should go half of that if the case has been modified to help keep it cool.
