It would seem that there may have been some form of evolution in regs as well as vintage car club "acceptance" of a slightly more relaxed view on originality, perhaps to the extent that finding an identity by way of a log book, and assembling a high degree of vintage parts to create a "special," just might allow entry to some events listed as a ...whatever...?
I was ever one who considered originality as the datum for judgement of the value of a machine.... though have to admit that over the years my attitude has become a tad more relaxed....(-:
I found a degree of interest in the setting of datums/value of originality in the high court case of the famous vintage Bentley racer Old Number One, which I have raised over the years on eMog and other forums of the time and more recently on TM....
BTW my Mog is NOT original... (-: Kevin used stainless fixings wherever possible, even painted it a different colour, and used two pack lacquer on the bulkhead, rad, chassis and even the petrol tank, also swapped out the lever arms for Koni adjustables with the necessary hoop for their upper mounting..... Fortunately it seems Morganeers tend to care none to much about originality.... I wonder why...? (-:
