I don't blame people hanging fire, a year ago I got keen on the idea of a Plus Four auto but reading the massive costs of some repairs for simple radiator replacements it's not an area I shall explore further.

As a retiree it's not the initial cost it's the long term running costs and reliability that count and a Plus 8 is like a Grant Oil Boiler laugh2 but lots more fun woohoo

A Classic Plus 8 will never be an expensive beast to feed once you get used to 21 mpg when really enjoying it.

And of course you are by retaining your car and not replacing it, some might consider as being more ecologically friendly to the environment reducing your overall carbon foot print.
