I think they are expensive for just toys. And as people get older, maybe they realise that they should just drive them. I’m only in my mid 50s, and if used in all weathers , and it gets dirty, you get used to it and don’t really care. In fact I think it’s quite cool to pull up somewhere in a very dirty Morgan. And now we know that they suffer depreciation like any other car, it may as well be used like any other car. My kids or wife will only flog it at any old price if anything happens to me. My hard top is a big plus for all year use, in fact it’s been on the car for the last 15 months. It still leaks a bit, but driving it all the time, I’m used to it’s everyday quirks.
My original post was to share the fact that MMC gave me a boost of confidence in the way they handled the radiator fail. And I know if it happens again, they said it would be honoured again. Let’s hope the latest updates and radiator hold up. As they said, my car, doing 10,000 miles a year is a good test, and every machine I’ve ever owned has s@@t itself at sometime in its life. And there has been a lot of them.
