That takes some getting my head round, were there so few cars around then which to me seems a relatively short time ago now.
They were ahead of the curve certainly.
When I got my first car at 18 there were only 2 other cars in the street one belonged to a Fords worker the other to a trainee driving instructor who used to help repair my 1937 MG, sadly he died before completing the course.
